Scientific production on the knowledge and technology transfer process in universities: a bibliometric analysis

The transfer of knowledge and technology has attracted academic attention in the last decade with considerable and rapid growth, which has resulted in a large body of knowledge on the subject; This makes it essential to recognize its conceptualization and carry out bibliometric analyzes of the literature to identify changes in the subjects studied. This article aimed to analyze the scientific production on the process of transfer of knowledge and technology in universities, through a bibliometric analysis, a search for information was carried out with terms related to the transfer of knowledge and technology in universities in the database international Scopus. The results showed the growth dynamics of scientific production since 1990. Also, the United States stood out as the most productive country and the one that collaborates the most to publish research with other nations of the world, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, China and Germany. The Journal of Technology Transfer was found at the top of the most productive, and the topics were identified as trends: entrepreneurship, open innovation, relationship between industry and university and technology transfer office, showing that transfer is still a current topic in academic research.
